This was the article I needed to read at this point in my life. I feel like it perfectly sums about a dozen different ideas and musings I was working on in my mind perfectly, and I had several enlightening "a-ha" moments reading, especially the part about stressors being like drops in a cup and the same drops can feel different whether your cup is full or empty. I think that's a thought I will carry with me the rest of my life. Thank you so much for writing this.

“So no, you can’t bully your biology into silence — but you can feed it, rest it, and raise the threshold, making the first wave quieter, shorter, and easier to ride.”

Well said! We must understand the effects of our biology and learn to work with it optimally.

I am certainly guilty of thinking I’d won the healing journey, only to shame myself for having more hard days. Thank you for this post and for sharing the useful strategies at the end. I will definitely try them.🙏🏼

I always do. It either fills gaps in my human experience or gives me a different perspective.

At the beginning of reading this article, I found myself automatically smiling, because I saw myself here when you said…

“It felt like the entire world was still fast asleep — my favorite time of the day.”

I also found myself in your final lines. Your articles help me so much. Shukran for the effort you put in.. I know how great it is, but it is truly precious and meaningful.

Shukran once again.

I wish I could buy you a coffee, but I truly don’t have that option.. But I’m sending you lots of love.

…facing a genocide. I don’t have the answer at this moment other than faith, purpose and community. Which you’ve already embodied.

I cannot let you buy me a coffee although I appreciate the thought. The entire purpose right now is to save funds to forward to others who need it.

Thank you so much for reading and supporting my work. It means more than you know 🙏🏼❤️
